Cancellations

  • Weekday and Single Dog appointments require no less than a 24-hour notice. Anything less than 24 hours will be marked as a Weekday No Show. A $25 fee will be applied to your next appointment.
  • Weekend Day and Multi-Dog appointments require no less than a 48-hour notice. Anything less than 48 hours will be marked as a Weekend No Show. A $50 fee will be applied to your next appointment.
  • After 2 no-shows, you are required to prepay for the appointment when it is booked.

Late Arrivals

  • We are only able to perform the drop-off services for your dog in the time allotted for your scheduled appointment.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, we may not be able to perform your scheduled service, and you may need to reschedule your appointment.
  • If you miss the appointment, it will be marked as a no-show, and the appropriate fee will be applied to your next appointment.

Late Pick-Ups

  • When you drop off your dog, we will provide you with an approximate pick-up time. We will text you as soon as your dog is finished.
  • Dogs must be picked up within 45 minutes of receiving our text.
  • Under no circumstances will dogs be allowed to stay after 5:00 PM.

Matting

  • At Shakers, we do not demat dogs. If a dog is matted and the groomer is capable of completing the groom, the groomer will discuss options at drop-off or over the phone.
  • When there is matting, an additional fee will be applied accordingly.
  • If the dog is severely matted, the appointment may not be able to be completed. You would need to see a vet to complete the grooming.
  • We will not bathe severely matted dogs, as it will worsen their condition.
  • Shakers Dog Wash is not responsible for any health conditions that may be revealed after removing a matted coat.

Vaccinations

  • You sign a release agreeing that your dog is up to date on vaccinations. We do not require physical proof of vaccinations.
  • Vaccination records will be required if our staff is bitten by your dog.
  • The required vaccinations are Rabies, Distemper Parvo Combo, and Bordetella.

Fleas

  • Shakers is a flea-free environment. Your dog must be flea-free to use our facility.
  • Dogs that have fleas put other dogs and staff at risk.
  • If fleas are found on the dog after drop-off, we will call you, and an additional fee will be added. A flea bath will be performed, which will kill most fleas on your dog but is not a preventative.
  • You must be readily available to pick up your dog, as they cannot be held with other dogs.
  • If you are using the self-service area and fleas are found, we will ask you to promptly leave. Proper cleaning procedures must be followed before other dogs are allowed to use the self-service area.

Liability

  • Shakers is not liable for irritations, skin rashes, or broken skin due to scratching, licking, chewing, or pets that shiver/hide.

Pricing

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice (although we do attempt to notify customers when prices change).

Service Refusal

  • We reserve the right to refuse service at the door or during any bath or groom if:
    • Your pet is aggressive.
    • You behave badly.
    • Your senior breed is unable to stand or walk on their own.

General Policies

  • All dogs (and children) must be restrained and under control at all times.
  • We do not take dogs that are in heat for appointments or self-service.
  • Blow-out fee (hair fee so no tufts are left) if no Furminator is being used.
